News Sports: DeAngelo Hall, one of the greatest players to ever play college football in the Commonwealth of Virginia, will be inducted into the Class of 2023 of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
His career at Tech couldn’t have started better, saving a pass on his teammate’s debut against UConn in 2001 and the rest is history.
Hall has a long resume, playing for the Hokies from 2001 to 2003 and winning numerous awards, then leading an impressive 15-year career in the NFL. The Chesapeake, Va. native, was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame, having achieved the honor in 2016.
One of the most versatile players in school history, Hall was a brilliant full-back who was also a penalty taker. He ended his career with 190 tackles (123 solos), 3 TFLs, 8 interceptions, 20 clearances and 2 forced fumbles, while also achieving 839 return yards (average). 15.0) and 5 touchdowns.
